I am a volunteer webmaster for Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, a Jewish community based in Milton, MA. My responsibilities have included managing the WordPress website, updating the online events calendar, adding photo galleries, consulting on the weekly ConstantContact e-newsletter (which I redesigned and templatized), managing a Facebook page and marketing online events to other directories including JewishBoston, InterFaithFamily Boston and Boston Parent and training staff at the synagogue on performing these activities in-house.
In 2017 I project managed the redesign of the synagogue’s website, managing our vendor and working with synagogue staff to update all pertinent content and visuals. I built and launched an online membership directory for the synagogue, including writing how-to guides for non-technical members of the congregation and leading hands-on tutorials. I continue to consult with the synagogue and assist with website maintenance as needed.
